Oil Seals
Oil seals are often called fluid, grease or dirt seals, and are widely used on practically every engine or machine.
Oil seals are used for automobile engines and geared motors, and are designed mainly to prevent oil leakage from the end of a rotating shaft, or dust intrusion from the outside air.
Oil seals serve to prevent the leakage not only of lubricants, but also water, chemicals, and gas from “gaps” in machinery. Oil seals also serve to prevent the intrusion of dust, soil and sand from the outside air. To maintain a tight seal against leakage, most oil seals contain a flexible lip which rubs against the rotating shaft.
Oil seals are indispensable sealing devices and are used in various fields, including automobiles, aircraft, boats and ships, railroad vehicles, construction machinery and etc.
Oil Seals can source a wide range of oil seals in machinery, automotive and hydraulic industry.
CSS, Inc is able provide customers with domestic and metric sizes. All of our oil seals meet the highest standard of quality control.
The most important component of any oil seal is the elastomer of the sealing element. CSS, Inc can source a wide range of options that one can choose from, as per their environmental and functioning requirement. The general elastomer includes; nitrile (NBR), EPDM and HNBR, silicone (MVQ), fluoroelastomer (FKM, FPM), polyacrylate (ACM, PA), Polyurethane, natural rubber.
